Cañada enters the postseason with a 14-2-4 overall record. The Colts are playing well at the right time as they are unbeaten over their last 16 games (13-0-3) with shutouts in 11 wins over that span.
Last year, Cañada suffered a 1-0 loss to College of the Sequoias at home in its opening-round playoff game.
No. 13 Santa Rosa and No. 20 Foothill faced off on in a first-round game on Wednesday with SRJC winning that contest 7-0 to advance. Santa Rosa enters Sasturday's game with a 10-7-3 overall record and went 4-5-2 in the Big 8 Conference for fifth place.
Three wins are needed by the Colts to advance to the 3C2A State Championships on Dec. 5 & 7 at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo.
