REDWOOD CITY – Darius Jackson scored a team-high 20 points while Jake Skaggs posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds to help lead Cañada College to its first win, a 95-83 non-conference victory over visiting San Joaquin Delta College on Friday night.
Delta held a 45-41 halftime advantage before Cañada rallied in the second half to outscore the Mustangs 54-38 to earn the come-from-behind win.
All five Cañada startes scored in double figures. Justin Moore put together a solid game with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals. Shawn Acosta scored 13 points and Xavier Moore added 10 points.
The Colts moved to 1-2 overall on the season. They are back in action on Wednesday (Nov. 12) when the Colts head to Hartnell College for a 5 p.m. game.
